How The Filters Work
This finder searches a broad five-letter word list. Use the position squares for known letters, include letters you have confirmed, and exclude gray letters. Detailed Wordle board solving is available in the main Wordle Helper.
Use a five-character pattern when you know exact positions. For example, ?RA?? keeps R in position two and A in position three while leaving the other positions open.
Use this for yellow letters or any letters you know belong in the word but cannot place yet. Repeating a letter, such as ee, requires at least two occurrences when repeat-letter limits are enabled.
A gray letter normally removes that letter. When the same letter is also known to be green or yellow, it does not remove every occurrence; it limits the maximum number of copies. This prevents common Wordle clues such as one green A and one gray A from producing incorrect results.
The results use a broad accepted-guess word bank so an incomplete answer list does not hide a possible word. Use the sorting option to scan common-letter words or browse alphabetically.
